Ambition to Reality 2013

Year 12s get ready for Ambition to Reality 17 - 21 June 2013.

Far too many young people are having to make vital and incredibly important decisions about their futures without access to good and reliable information” Nick Chambers Education and Employers Taskforce

There should be guaranteed access to high quality careers provision to all young people regardless of where they live or where they go to school".  The ASCL leader, Brian Lightman.

As part of our on going programme to provide outstanding careers information, advice and guidance, we are delighted to be holding our third  Ambition to Reality Week for year 12 students.

The week consists of a series of workshops on a range of employability skills delivered by experts from a wide range of professions.  This includes CV writing with help from professionals at the Brokerage, presentation and interview training delivered by Wharton Alumni and SJ Berwin staff, as well as financial management advice delivered by professionals from PwC.   All sessions are supported by staff from The Charter School.

On 21 June most of the pupils will be offered an individual interview by a professional they have never met before examining their CV and looking at their key strengths and competencies.   They are then given written and verbal feedback.  Those performing consistently well during the week can win prizes as well as a wonderful celebratory event kindly hosted by SJ Berwin on their fabulous roof terrace overlooking the City of London.
