Crisis at Christmas

Over the Christmas period Crisis helps over 2000 homeless people in London with many services, including hot meals, a place to sleep, warm clothes , training, medical assistance and good company at what can be a difficult time for many. 

The Charter School helps out by donating Christmas boxes filled with items needed to provide for these service users.  There are prizes for the best tutor group in each year.  All items need to be in school by 11 December.  Crisis collect all the boxes on 12 December.  Thank you for your support.  Here is the list of items that can be included:

Men’s Underwear – brand new or unworn only

  • Men’s Boxer Shorts (only medium size and upwards)
  • Men’s Vests (medium size and upwards)


Toiletries (no aerosols or alcohol based products please)

  • Roll on deodorant


Household & Kitchen items- new or in good working order

  • Rolls of foil/cling film
  • Oven gloves/Cloths
  • Tea Towels


Food – non-perishable or use-by date beyond 15 January 2014

  • Tinned Soup
  • Baked Beans
  • Tinned Vegetables/Beans
  • Tinned fish, ham or chicken
  • Pasta
  • Tins of powdered potatoes
  • Tea bags (no flavoured or decaf please)
  • Instant Cofee (no decaf please)
  • Tins of Assorted biscuits



  • First Aid Kits
  • Arts and Crafts materials
  • Boxes of Christmas Decorations
