Sixth Form Super League Footie Champions!

The Charter School Sixth Form football team are the champions! On Friday 15th May the team stormed to victory in the South London Super League final, beating Ark Academy Putney 2-1.
Having already won the League, the boys claimed their 2nd trophy of the season in an amazing final at Fulham FC's home ground.They are now proven as the best sixth form football team in south London.
James Pagel settled the nerves early on when he scored Charter's first goal to make it 1-0. Louis Duncan played in a delightful ball for James and he coolly took the ball round the keeper to score. Louis then made it 2 nil midway through the 2nd half from a long range effort. Putney grabbed a late goal to pull one back but the Charter boys held on to grab a great victory.
Paul Kalambayi was rewarded the man of the match. He was a strong presence in midfield for the entire game with his powerful runs. Other stand out performances from Adnan Bakir, Tom Ap Rees, Kwabena and Matt Proctor. All the boys were determined to win the final and fought hard to ensure The Charter School left Craven Cottage as the best 6th form football team in South London.
The Charter School spectators may have been outnumbered but were certainly the loudest. The chants and cheering provided the extra motivation for the boys to win the game in front of family, friends and teachers. It was a wonderful evening for the boys and most importantly for our school.
