  • Secret Charter breaks school record for fundraising

    Secret Charter is a fundraiser conceived as a creative response to the funding cuts we face as a school. Over 500 pieces of artwork were generously donated by international and emerging artists as well as students, all of which have been sold to raise funds to support the Creative and Performing Arts Departments at school.

  • Pupils at The Charter School North Dulwich celebrate outstanding GCSE results

    Pupils at The Charter School North Dulwich are today celebrating their outstanding GCSE results. This year sees more subjects publishing results with the new grading system of 1-9, in addition to Maths and English which adopted the new system last year following government reforms to the exam system.

    • 84% of all students in Year 11 gained a standard pass or above in both English and Maths (grade 4 to 9) – up from 76% last year

    • 68% gaining a strong pass in both English and Maths (grade 5 to 9) – up from 61% last year

    • 39% of all grades gained this year were 7-9 or A*/A this year

    • 36% of pupils achieved five 7-9 (or A*/A) grades in their GCSEs, up from 35% in 2017

    • 51% of pupils gained the English Baccalaureate (45% in 2017)

    • 77% of pupils gained at least one 7-9 or A*/A grade (74% in 2017)

  • Outstanding A level results for students at The Charter School North Dulwich

    Sixth form students at The Charter School North Dulwich in South East London are today celebrating their outstanding A level and BTEC results.

    64% of students achieved at least one A grade or equivalent with over 20% of students gaining all A*/A grades. It is expected that the vast majority of students will progress to their first choice of university or college for further study, including students heading to Oxbridge, Medical School and Veterinary School.

    It was with immense sadness that we heard about the death of Dame Tessa Jowell over the weekend. Tessa served our local constituency of Dulwich and West Norwood from 1992 to 2015 and was instrumental in the foundation of The Charter School.

    The English Schools’ FA England Under 15 Girls’ final trial took place this past weekend at Stafford Town FC. Year 10 student,Ruby Hughes, was one of 32 remaining players who participated in a match made up of squads representing the North and South of England.
