Pupils and staff row to Istanbul and back for Sports Relief!
The Charter School students and staff set themselves the challenge of rowing and running for 24 hours from 5pm on Thursday March 17th to 5pm on Friday 18th to raise funds for Sports Relief. While some pupils ran the Sports Relief Mile around the edge of the Sports Hall; others took to the rowing machines with enthusiasm. Pupils and staff took turns in relays throughout the night. The rowers and runners aimed to complete the equivalent distance of a journey from The Charter School to Istanbul in Turkey and back. They hope to raise over £2,000. All pupils from Year 7 -11 have also run a mile for Sports Relief in PE lessons this week. You can show your support by donating via the link below:
