Four Charter School students head to Oxford and Cambridge

Oxbridge success for Lauren, Sebastian, Ruby and Isobel

Excellent A level results for students Lauren Tavriger, Sebastian Elmes, Ruby Lyons and Isobel Ollard mean they will be heading to Oxford and Cambridge this autumn.

Lauren Tavriger will study English at Oxford after gaining 3 A levels: grade A* in English and in Geography; grade A in History.

Sebastian Elmes is also headed for Oxford where he will study Engineering after gaining 3 A levels all at grade A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

Ruby Lyons and Isobel Ollard both gained 4 A levels all at grade A* in Biology, Chemistry, French, and Maths. Ruby will study Chemistry at Oxford and Isobel will study Natural Sciences at Cambridge.

All the sixth form students at The Charter School in South East London are celebrating their excellent A level and BTEC results. 41% of all students gained at least 3 A levels with A* to B grades (33% in 2015)

More than a third (34%) of all A level grades achieved at The Charter School were A*/A, and more than two thirds (67%) were A*- B (62% in 2015).  95% of BTEC grades achieved were Distinction*/Distinction.

63% of students achieved at least one A grade or equivalent and 14% achieved all A grades or higher. It is expected that the vast majority of students will progress to their first choice of university or college for further study.
