Our Year 9 Game Designers not only won three awards on Monday but met the Duke of Cambridge. A team of year 9s attended the Young Game Designers enterprise event held at BAFTA HQ on Monday 18 November.  During the day they got to talk to different industry representatives and develop a business plan for a new computer game including all aspects such as finance, coding, sound and art, narrative techniques.

 

Despite them being the youngest competitors, they managed to gain commendations in every single prize category and won 3 out of 6 awards:

• Best business model: Tim Breslin, Louis Foster, Francis Fennelly
• Best coding: Tim Breslin, Louis Foster, Francis Fennelly
• Best art: FelicityPike, Ella Pound
In addition they met and spoke with HRH Prince of Cambridge and were interviewed by Channel 5 news!  They were an absolute credit to the school and acted professionally and maturely throughout.
