School Direct Teacher Training

Under the new training route, School Direct, The Charter School has joined a partnership with Southfields Academy in Wandsworth, to offer both salaried and non-salaried teacher training places in a range of subjects from September 2017.  After a year’s training, the successful trainee will be considered for employment within the partnership schools. Subjects offered include Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, History, Geography, MFL, Art and Design, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, Music, PE, and RE.

Your training will be based in one of the partnership schools and linked with leading teacher training institutions including the Institute of Education and Goldsmiths College, providing you with access to professional studies resources and a professional community of other trainees.

Places on the non- salaried scheme will be self-funded with a cost of £9000.  Bursaries are available for high priority subjects.  For the salaried scheme, available to graduates with at least three years work experience, you will be paid on unqualified teacher scale 1.
