2018: Outstanding exam results at The Charter School North Dulwich again

The highlights of the outstanding exam results achieved at GCSE and A Level in 2018 are outlined below.

GCSE

  • 84% of all students in Year 11 gained a standard pass or above in both English and Maths (grade 4 to 9) – up from 76% last year
  • 68% gaining a strong pass in both English and Maths (grade 5 to 9) – up from 61% last year
  • 39% of all grades gained this year were 7-9 or A*/A this year
  • 36% of pupils achieved five 7-9 (or A*/A) grades in their GCSEs, up from 35% in 2017
  • 51% of pupils gained the English Baccalaureate (45% in 2017)
  • 77% of pupils gained at least one 7-9 or A*/A grade (74% in 2017)

  • In 2018, 44% of all students gained at least three A levels with A* to B grades
  • 88% of students gained three A levels with A*-C grades
  • 41% of all A level grades achieved in 2018 were A*/A
  • 67% of all A level grades achieved in 2018 were A*- B
  • 92% of BTEC grades achieved were Merit or above
  • 64% of students achieved at least one A grade or equivalent
  • Over 20% of our students achieved all A grades or higher
  • It is expected that the vast majority of students will progress to their first choice of university or college for further study
