Selected Year 7 to 9 students were rewarded for their outstanding PSHE engagement with a trip to BFI Southbank in London. They took part in a study day titled Life in Modern Britain: Migration, Identity and Democracy.

Throughout the day, students explored key themes in British society through archive films, including Dread Beat and Blood, Jemima and Johnny, and Mangrove Nine. These powerful films sparked discussions on race, migration, and identity in both historical and modern contexts.

Charter School students were recognised as the most engaged participants, contributing thoughtful questions and respectful debate. Several Year 7 students impressed organisers with their mature and honest reflections on sensitive topics. The visit offered an enriching experience that deepened students’ understanding of PSHE themes and contemporary British society.
