Term Dates 2022- 2023

In 2022/2023, there are 188 days when the school is open to pupils and students. The Charter Schools Educational Trust is committed to ensuring all pupils are accessing a high-quality education across the academic year. In deciding on the 2022/23 term dates, we have also considered pupil and staff well-being, term dates in local schools and avoiding isolated single days at the end of a term.

The Charter Schools Educational Trust schools are open for two days less than the statutory number for maintained schools in 2022/2023, and so our schools will ensure that all pupils have access to an additional ten hours of high-quality education across the school year. The allocation of this teaching time is at the discretion of school leaders. It may be used for additional lessons, tutoring and the extra-curricular offer, which would otherwise happen during the school day.
