On the 24th April, a group of Year 12 Economics students attended Doughnut Economics, a one-woman show by economist Kate Raworth. Using props, audience participation, and interactive discussion, Raworth explored the environmental challenges posed by current economic models.

The event, attended by 200 students from Charter North, Charter East, Alleyn's and Dulwich College, opened with the question: “Economic growth is linked to CO₂ emissions—can we delink the two?” This sparked a lively debate, with students and even a teacher invited on stage to contribute ideas.

The performance made complex ideas around sustainability and economic reform accessible and engaging. Afterwards, students took part in a group photo and informal discussion about the global implications of balancing growth with environmental responsibility. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking experience.
