It was celebrations all round at The Charter School North Dulwich this morning, as students and staff celebrated a raft of fantastic GCSE results, with nearly half of all grades awarded at the highest band of grades 7-9.

An impressive 87% of all students in Year 11 achieved a standard pass or above in English and Maths, with the vast majority achieving a strong pass in these core subjects.

Well over half of all students also achieved the prestigious English Baccalaureate and, impressively, 15% of all grades awarded across the board were the top possible grade, grade 9.

There were also exceptional GCSE subject results across Food Preparation and Nutrition, Sociology, Drama, Religious Studies, Fine Art, Design and Technology, English Literature, Chemistry, Music and Maths.

Mark Pain, Headteacher, said: “These remarkable results reflect the hard work of students and the dedication of staff alike, and we are so proud of all our young people and what they have accomplished.

“It’s brilliant to see our students excel in the core subjects, but I’m also deeply pleased to see successes across such a broad range of subjects, as it shows how we support every young person at our school to thrive, wherever their interests lie.

“Coming so soon after an exceptional Ofsted report and another set of impressive results from our sixth form, today’s achievements demonstrate the strength of our school community and the ambition our students show at every stage of their education.”

A group of remarkable student achieved eight or more Grade 9s, including P Gillies, S Bignold,T Baranowski-Bishop, K Fennell, M Marshall, G Ross, K Shum, L Ross, B Blackie and H Berrington.

The school also commended the following students for their excellent progress: M Ansari, O Areola, H Brice, C Farrell, I Jackson-Winter, W Moyseowicz, T Pullinger, F Okwuoma and A Scott.

Unusually, the school also has two sets of triplets – all six of whom achieved highly and are moving on to their future choices.

Mr Pain added: “These results are testament to the hard work and resilience of both students and staff, and to the strong culture of aspiration and support that runs throughout the school.

“Overall, the Class of 2026 has much to be proud of, and we look forward to welcoming many of them back in September for Sixth Form.”

The results continue an impressive year for the school, following strong A-level results from its sixth form and an exceptional Ofsted inspection earlier this summer.

Ofsted's May 2026 inspection found the school's inclusion and post-16 provision to be "Exceptional", with all other areas evaluated at "Strong standard". Inspectors praised the sixth form as a "shining example of academic excellence and inclusive practice" and said sixth-form outcomes rank among the highest nationally.
