Our U13 cricket team beat an all-boys school, Campion School from Havering, to reach the semi-final of the London Schools' Cup. Missing 4 first team players, we won the toss and opted to bat first on a batters friendly wicket. Inspired by Ben Stokes' innings in the 2nd Ashes test, Luke Michael and Austyn Cook were finding the boundary on a regular basis. Both batters reached50 not out to give us a very good total of 153-4.

Campion School also batted well and gave a good run chase but eventually fell 25 runs short of the target. Austyn, Gabriel, Hana and Raphael took 1 wicket each to limit Campion School to 128-5.

The team were also due to play Kingsdale in the Surrey Schools' Cup quarter-final, but the rain cancelled the fixture on Tuesday. The winners were decided by a coin toss and fortunately for us, we won the coin toss. The team have now reached two semi-finals in two different competitions, which is a remarkable achievement for the team.
